Boredom is the Father of Progress & Scrambled Boiled Eggs

They say laziness breeds innovation. I whole heartily agree. But I say that boredom is the other parent of innovation. I say that because if I wasn't bored right now, this update won't be happening at all. My boredom resulted in this blog's progress :). On a side note, its kinda hard to explain my boredom when, with a click of a button, I have thousands upon thousands of videos, songs, encyclopedias, articles, etc. that I can play with. But alas, I'm bored...the kind of bored where you want to do something but nothing at your disposal excites you. The kind of boredom that gives you a short fuse :)

Now, I have no explanation for my long absence. Needless to say, the "one new thing a day" project died a long time ago. The body is probably past decomposition by now. That, however, does not mean that I didn't try anything new. During my absence from this post, I have became an avid reddit user, tried new drinks (lots of new drinks, kekeke), and even made a cake from scratch all by myself!!!! And I forgot about this blog....until, in my crazy boredom, I realized I could try a new thing I found at reddit, and to make it more fun, post about it! So my friends, I present to you the boiled scrambled eggs:

First, you get yourself an egg. Mine is a Grade A brown egg, but it can work with any eggs.

Second, you place the egg in a the sleeve of a long T-shirt and tied the ends up as shown in the picture below. You have no idea how long it took me to find a long-sleeved t-shirt. Someone gotta go shopping!

Then, you hold the sleeve at both end and wind it up and then snap it at both ends to make the egg spin really fast. You're basically putting the egg in a makeshift centrifuge. You wind and snap the sleeve 12 times. As for me, I did it 17 times, just to make sure the mixing was good. My arms BURNED! What a work-out! Then you cook it normally. Did you know there is a wrong way to cook eggs? I recently read a yahoo article that says that the best way to cook egg is to put it in cold water, bring it to gentle boil, turn the heat off, and let the egg sit in the covered pot for 5 minutes. Apparently, other method of cooking it doesn't cook the yolk and the egg white evenly. Whatever. The way I've been boiling has work just fine for me.

I delayed the cracking of the boiled egg until I was done with the previous paragraphs. When I was done, typing, I bolted to the kitchen, grab the egg, and ran to the sink. Boy, I was EXCITED to crack open that egg. When I did so, my heart broke into tiny pieces like the egg shell I just cracked. Here's why:

NO SCRAMBLED BOILED EGGS! Apparently, 17 times wasn't enough! But in hindsight, I believe my snapping was lacking. I really didn't get it to spin that fast. I need a stronger centrifuge! Fear not, I will keep trying! Just not tonight. My heart is too broken to pursue anything right now. But if you want to try, here is the video that inspired me to try it. The video explains it much better too.
