I Think I May Know Why Guys Cheat On Pretty Girls with Ugly Ones

Look at that little gem up there. That's a picture posted by a facebook page called "I Will Never Understand Why Guys Cheat on Pretty Girls With Ugly Ones". That's right. I picture some juvenile, air-head teenage girls as admins of the page. Usually, I don't comment much, either on things that makes me laugh or on things that makes me go GRRR!. But today is an exception, for reasons I myself do not understand. I saw on my newsfeed that one of my friends liked the picture and my curiosity was piqued. When I saw it, I just chuckled at the irony and check the comments to see if anyone else noticed it too. The comments seem to indicate that no, no one else did, so I took upon myself the liberty of informing everyone.



 Now, I want to pose a question to the admins of the page. If you think that there are no ugly girls, such opinion endorsed by your post of the above picture, then where do the guys find the "ugly" girls to cheat with? Now, I'm not hating on the group. Facebook is such a big community now, and a page like this is a good place for  a jilted girl to air grievances and seek comfort. Well, I actually perused the page and all I saw were post of pictures overlaid with romantics quotes, relationship advice (mostly on how the boys should treat the girls as princesses), and "inspirational quotes". So, never mind; I don't think you're gonna get much comfort from the page, but it is still useful as a tool to mindlessly waste time and pine over that *perfect* relationship. Also very useful to passive-aggressively remind your boyfriend that you will not TOLERATE cheating of any kinds. I shouldn't be so surprised. While Facebook is great for communications, it aint no place for deep, thoughtful discussions. And no, that's not a bad thing for Facebook. Specialize in your strength. There are other forums for those discussions.

Anyway, I want to help out the admins of the page and the other 1.2 millions that liked the page to understand the conundrum that presents when guys cheat on pretty girls with ugly ones.

     10 POSSIBLE REASONS WHY GUYS CHEAT ON PRETTY GIRLS WITH UGLY ONES

1. Now, under the assumption that pretty is meant as physically pretty, then maybe the "ugly" girl had a prettier attitude and personality.



2. But if pretty was meant as "personality" pretty, then maybe the "ugly" girl had a much more beautiful face with a much more sexier, rocking body.




3. The "ugly" girl was better at loving. Yes, better at intimate acts AND at just letting the boy feel loved. She had a "caring heart" and "appreciated" the guy. Radical, eh?



4. The pretty girl cheated on the guy with a pretty boy. (I'm gonna go on a limb here and assume that the admins and those that like the page are the "pretty girls" in the statement, and therefore assume that they won't cheat with ugly boys.)




5. Maybe the pretty girl isn't short enough for the tall guy. 



6. Maybe, just maybe, the "ugly" girl is a radiating beauty in the eyes of the guy. Beauty is in they eyes of the beholder, they say. 

7. So, maybe the relationship with the pretty girl began unexpectedly while that with the "ugly" one didn't. I mean what is more unexpected that beginning a relationship when you're already in one. amrite? hur hur




8. Maybe the pretty girl is sucking the happiness out of the guy.

9. Maybe the "ugly" girl did all 3 steps while the pretty girl procrastinated at step 2. 



10. The guy doesn't love the pretty girl anymore. GASP! Bu..bu...BUT how? She's so pretty! Well, breaking news my friends, love and relationships aren't all about the look. While its nice to be dating attractive people, a lot more variables goes into the equation that is love. 

Okay. I don't condone cheating by anyone with anyone. And a lot of people cheat for various reasons. Now, those above 10 steps may make it sound like it is okay to cheat since the guy was not happy and he found his one true love in the ugly girl, but take a look at this.

I completely agree. If you're unhappy, leave instead of cheating. Its just a matter of respect. And to the  supporters of the FB page in question, does it matter that the guy cheated with an UGLY girl? The guy is a scumbag for cheating. And you're a scumbag for thinking that by the virtue of looks alone, you're somehow "better" than the ugly girl. Yes, that's what you're implying. Be indignant that the guy cheated, not that he cheated with an ugly girl as if somehow that's an insult to your look.

You post so many things about how we don't choose who we fall in love with. Can't that be applied to cheaters also? Out of the millions he could cheat with, he cheated with that person. Why? I guess the stars were aligned.
